Successful completion of trial operation of a lubricating tram in Prague

On June 30th, the Railway Office in Prague was informed by Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy, a.s., about the results of trial operation of a special type of a motor tram vehicle T3, reg. no. 5572, equipped with a lubrication system of the rail crown and wheel flange with liquid friction modifier manufactured by IGRALUB AG. Within the trial operation, the vehicle covered at total of 35,308 km by June 29th, 2015, with no negative reactions from drivers. The operational reliability of the friction modifier was evaluated positively, and it was recommended to be approved for use. (Source of information: M. The trial operation officially ended on July 13th, 2015.
