The MiniProf Wheel Back-to-Back system measures both the wheel profile and the distance between the wheels back to back in one quick measurement. The system is magnetically attached between the backs of the wheels and connected by a rigid rod, so it can be used directly under rolling stock or on individual wheelsets.

The combined wheel profile measurement and wheel-to-wheel profile measurement provides a valuable set of wear parameters to assess the condition of the wheelsets, identify areas where maintenance is required, and ensure that the train operates within the specified gauge and profile limits.
