HeadLub® 90 is a high-pressure lubricant blend containing selected, chemically treated solid lubricants. Thanks to its tendency to combine and ionic agents, it accelerates the surface refinement of the “soft metal mating” between the rail head and the wheel surface. Wear and friction are thus reduced to a minimum.
HeadLub® 90 immediately and successfully eliminates unpleasant creaking in track curves. Thanks to its exceptional adhesive properties, even a very thin layer of lubricant provides long-lasting protection. HeadLub® 90 creates a dry surface layer with significant effect, so it remains even on wet tracks for a long time and has a water-repellent effect. The adhesive layer is evenly distributed over a length of 100 to 200 meters by the passing wheels.
HeadLub® 90 can be applied using a rail head spray installation. The system must guarantee complete control of the applied quantity (e.g. 0.5 cm3), application time (e.g. 10 s), application location (e.g. using sensors, chassis guidance system or GPS). It is also recommended to control the end of the application.
